Marketing News
Mark Eliason, VP Sales & Marketing
Last month we spotlighted 4 of our .308 models with hunting season on the horizon. This month, we have received a lot of positive feedback from hunters who are using our .308s, with accuracy being the top attribute. After trying out one of our new 18″ .308 with the Midwest rail and Magpul fixed stock, I liked it so much, I bought one myself!
Our featured rifle this month is actually an AR style pistol, which is now available. We are in the development stages of other pistol models and continue to add to our product line and will keep you updated on new offerings.

FROM THE GUNSMITH’S BENCH
Erik Winter, Gunsmith
TOPIC: Bolt Carrier Cleaning
These photos show a rather extreme example of a dirty carrier which hasn’t been cleaned in about 5000 rounds.
For cleaning a carrier I like the Carbon Scraper Tool and Wipe Out Tactical Advantage Cleaner (see links below to purchase). Here I just simply applied the Tactical Advantage and used a toothbrush. You can also soak the carrier in this solvent to make carbon removal even easier as it won’t harm the chrome lining. Any places you can’t reach with the Carbon Scraper Tool, you can use a razor blade to carefully remove thick carbon deposits. But if you don’t go 1000 rounds or more without cleaning your carrier you won’t have this much carbon to scrape off. Also note that you can use the part of the scraper used for the bolt tail to clean carbon from the retaining pin area of the firing pin.
Clean and ready to roll!

The Heart of Windham Weaponry – Giving Back to Our Community
Richard E. Dyke, founder of Windham Weaponry, and all of his employees, have long been dedicated to supporting those in need in our local communities. It is a responsibility that each of us take very seriously as we try to make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and children that need a little help to get through a trying time.
Windham Weaponry has been the major sponsor for 3 years of our local Community Coin Challenge and Octoberfest Celebration which raises funds for our local food banks. Our employees also voluntarily donate funds through payroll deduction to support a food backpack program in our local schools. This program is able to provide 150 students with much needed food to take home for the weekends.
The Windham Weaponry Helping Hands program is another program that all our employees participate in. As each of our employees hear or know about a critical need in their hometown, they bring it to our Helping Hand committee. We have helped hundreds of individuals and families from our employees hometowns with help to get them through a very difficult time and, hopefully, made a difference in their lives.
Richard Dyke has inspired this effort in the way he generously deals with his employees and his “giving back” over his lifetime. His book, “Richard E. Dyke, Just a Man from Wilton, Maine”, will show a glimpse of how he became the man he is today. All of the proceeds from the sale of this book will go toward our Helping Hand program.

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK
Subject: Incredible accuracy!
Greetings,
If you want to know what your weapons are capable in the hands of your customers, attached is a 2.292″ group shot at 300 yards on 4/8/14. This .730 MOA group was shot from a bench rest using Corbon 55gr JHP rounds. The weapon was a Windham 5.56 HBAR/flattop (made for Cabelas), sporting an SWFA 1-6X scope @ 6x. The only alteration is a Giessele S3G trigger which is actually NOT recommended for shooting groups!
You guys should be proud to have produced a weapon of this quality. I’m certainly proud to own it.
Regards,
Chuck R.

I love your guns! Keep ’em coming!

After long day of calling in the wind, my last stand finally got this guy to come in. The Windham dropped it in its tracks. This is one of five I took off a piece of farmland, farmer had issues with missing chickens. Big thanks to Windham Weaponry, Hornady ammunition and Toxic calls.

LAW ENFORCEMENT

What’s New in LE?
October brought with it a nice increase in AR sales. With hunting season around the corner .308 sales were brisk. I want to thank those of you that took advantage of our discounted prices on our .308 line and want to wish those of you that will be taking your new rifle hunting the best of luck.
We here at Windham Weaponry also had the opportunity to partner with the guys from Legally Armed America again as we traveled to Eagle Pass, Texas to shoot some hogs. It was just an amazing time. Here is a link to learn more about the hunt, the Hog Shot Challenge and to learn a little more about what we have going on with Legally Armed America. http://legallyarmedamerica.com/2014/11/02/makin-bacon-at-the-hog-summit-with-our-brand-new-rifle-benefitting-autism.
I will be sending out more information on the event, as well as some photos very soon. I would like to personally thank Paul and Chad from Legally Armed America and Daniel and his crew at 4 Amigo’s Ranch. Daniel and his crew went above and beyond to make us all at home in his home. So, if anyone wants to shoot some hogs and have a whole lot of fun, check out 4 Amigo’s Ranch in Eagle Pass Texas. http://www.4amigosranch.com.
I would also like to let everyone know that I will be attending the National Rodeo Finals in Las Vegas the week of December 1st. I will have a booth at the RMEF Hunter Christmas in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth #730 from December 4th to the 7th. Please swing by the booth and register to win a new Windham Weaponry 7.62×39 SRC and to meet Kaycee Feild and Cody Teel, as they will be signing autographs. Kaycee will be in the booth on December 7th from noon to 1pm and Cody Teel will be in the booth on December 6th from 1pm to 2pm.
Thank you to everyone out there for supporting Windham Weaponry.
